More GBA Pickups and my gaming setup.

So a friend and I went to an independent used game store today and I picked up a few new GBA games, I was in an RPG mood so I got a couple of the titles they had. I also cleaned up and organized my gaming setup so I could take a few picks and show it off.

I went with these games today because I have never played any of them except for sonic and I wanted to expand my gaming habits and try some new games. I had to get Sonic because it's a classic and it was complete in box and the box in like new so I could not pass it up. I am looking forward to playing these and trying something new in the way of games. I used to watch Yu-Gi-Oh but never played the card game so I really don't know what to expect. Who knows maybe I will fall in love with a new genre...

Here is the Sonic box in awesome condition, I was pretty excited to get this at such a good price. This is my first CIB GBA game and I do like the way they are setup so I may have to start going after them this way...who knows.

This is my entire GBA collection as of tonight, There are

several more titles that I hope to find in the wild before

I think about buying them online. I think I have enough 

to keep me busy until I come across all the ones I want.

Here is my desk setup with my dual 18.5 LEDs and my Logitech G500, I had the matching keyboard but I like this little cheap one better lol. My PC is a few years old so it is nothing special just a Core 2 with a Radeon HD5770 it does the job but I have to cut the eye candy down a little on the new stuff. I will be building a new gamer in a few months but I have to buy a new Mac Mini first for my music production so the gamer is after that. 

Here is my custom painted Xbox 360 and my N64 both hooked up to a simple little 19' LCD, nothing special here just a convenient little setup for me to play a couple of my systems. To be honest I have not even played my 360 in quite some time, I have been working on PS3 and now GBA for the most part. I will be getting a new generation 360 when the Halo 4 special edition comes out in November so I am looking forward to that. I am not the biggest Halo fan but I do like it and the Xbox looks really nice so yea.

Here is a random shot of some of my "collectibles" nothing fancy just a few things I though were cool so I got them or someone thought I would like them so they picked them up for me. I got all the major bases covered, Mario, Star Wars, and Back To The Future. Just a few of my favorites. I don't ever play the micro so I just put it there to display it.

Zelda 2

So here is a quick update, I started working on Zelda 2 for GBA and OMG this game is crazy hard and annoying. It is a fun game but one of the hardest I have played in a long time. I forgot how hard the 8-bit era games can be.

New Pick Ups

So I found a first gen (Front Lit Screen) Gameboy Advance SP for a steal at a local used game shop and had to pick it up, also found Super Mario Advance 1 and 4 and Lego Star Wars 2 on Craigslist for a great price so I had to pick them up as well. So far I have been working on Mario 3 and Lego Star Wars which are two of the best games I have played on GBA. I still need to get the rest of the Mario games and all the NES Classic Series and the Donkey Kong Country games but this is a good start.

PS2 Collection Introduction

Not too bad for two weeks in.

Ok, so I have decided to start really collecting games and I think PS2 is a great place to start so here is an intro to my PS2 Collection so far. I will go over and talk about some of the games that I really like or that I just think are interesting in later blogs but for now here is the introduction.


I have six different systems right now so it is hard to decide what games to buy but I think PS2 has about the most diverse library of game and many games that I loved playing through out the years so I went in that direction. I am also buying games for my other systems but not as many as PS2, there is a long list of game that I want to own but right now I am just trying to build up a nice little chunk of games pretty quick to get a good start to my collection.
